And so: the beginnings of my new goal to become well versed in all the intricacies of the human body.

...and the original. Marie Alfonse Mucha's 'JOB'

Some of the things Ive come to really enjoy drawing are birds - or wings or feathers; hard to say and muscles - or anatomy. So this guy puts em both together nicely.

this is the first thing the popped into my head when my buddy first told me about these guys. dont know why, but im liking the long necked thing. I imagine them as a fair amount taller then other creatures, a nice towering enemy to diversify the lineup.
'Valkyrie' generally sounds kinda elegant, which normally equals women. the idea behind the elbow feathers is that they swivel back and forth for gliding and then for convenience.
My personal favorite. Its not really a monster until its creepy and vile. Also I think i can say that top left pic is the first time im pleased with a feather/wing drawing Ive done. yay for me.
Guy Reapers
Girl Reapers
realism didnt work as well for this kind of thing, i like the design though.
walking tarzan style, the knuckles turned out pretty cool, also like the hair that stops at the wrist
a little off; my friend's versions are mainly supposed to be more on the brutish side.
first drawing in a new sketchbook. to keep things nice and fresh i did something i havnt done in a while....self portrait.
went for a little more stylized with this dwarf guy. I always plan on doing a full character but have too much fun with anatomy....
again, muscles are too cool. when i grow up, i wanna be the hulk.
